I have moved and relocated over and over – having bought and sold 9 primary residences. I, too, have cleaned and painted and staged to allow the public to walk through my space, hoping for offers and buyers. I have also searched for a dream house and longed for my offer to be accepted. I have watched the calendar tick off the days until closing, desperate to hold that new key in my hand. So, I know what it's like to wrap your treasures in paper and stuff them in cardboard boxes, to watch people haul your mattress out the door and into a dusty truck, and to transform an unfamiliar space into a home. Moving is wonderful and horrible, exciting and taxing, exhilarating and traumatic!
